Day 1 Wednesday 28 JULY
We take an early morning flight heading for the colour and excitement that is the Top End of Australia. Upon Arrival in Darwin you will be met by your escorts & transferred to your hotel.
Tonight we slip into the layback Territory lifestyle with a casual Welcome Party.
Day 2 Thursday 29 JULY
BREAKFAST WITH THE STARS will be held at the Darwin Turf Club this morning. This will give you the opportunity of watching the Cup contenders in their track work and discuss the form with the various racing personalities. This afternoon is free.
Day 3 Friday 30 JULY
Tonight you will attend Phar Lap's DARWIN CUP PREVIEW DINNER. Enjoy a balmy evening in the tropics. There will be entertainment and a comprehensive round up of the Cup Carnival.
Day 4 Saturday 31 JULY
SCHWEPPES PALMERSTON SPRINT. Today marks the start of our weekend of racing in the Top End. You’ll be transferred to Fannie Bay Racecourse for a top day of racing.
Day 5 Sunday 1 AUGUST
Today can be as busy or relaxed as you prefer. The Darwin Turf Club hold their Calcutta at Fanny Bay, or you may wish to explore further afield with an optional Day tour to Kakadu or Litchfield Park.
Day 6 Monday 2 AUGUST
The CARLTON DARWIN CUP. A full day at the races for one of the most colourful and famous events of the Australian racing calendar. A day full of excitement- certainly one to remember.
We will have lunch and exclusive use of a VIP MARQUEE, where you will be able to enjoy the day’s events in comfort. Included in the cost is admission to the members’ area and race books.
Day 7 Tuesday 3 AUGUST
A day to relax by the pool with new friends or perhaps do a little last minute shopping or sightseeing. Whatever YOUR CHOICE, your last day in Darwin is sure to be one to remember.
Day 8 Wednesday 4 AUGUST
We’re sure you will be reluctant to leave Darwin’s clear skies and balmy nights as we take you to the airport for your flight home or onward to your next destination. We would be happy to assist you with any alternative arrangements.
